Parents want to put their young children in prime position to succeed in every little thing that they do in life because they know fully well that they will not always be by their side as they guide, instruct and protect them from all sorts of harm due to the fact that sooner or later, they will have to learn how to survive, fend for themselves and stand on their own, two feet. To prevent their young kids from falling on hard times, filing for bankruptcy, wallowing in the muck of poverty and crying in misery as they sell property in Singapore just to get by and survive, they put them through top of the line Ivy League universities like Yale, Harvard and Princeton so that they can receive the quality education from world-renowned professors. This is due to the fact that they firmly believe that quality education will give their young, naive and innocent children the training, knowledge and wisdom that they need to succeed in the outside world and they are not wrong or paranoid to assume that because life can be cruel and unforgiving to the uninitiated and ignorant.

And that is why when they finally reach the top, succeed in all fronts of their career, achieve their long-term goals and make their parents proud who are thankful to the old gods and the new, young professionals are able to spoil themselves, indulge their innermost desires and enjoy the finer things in life that they world has to offer. Aside from snazzy sports cars, designer clothes, impressive gadgets and gaudy jewelry, everybody thinks about the future as they look for landed property for sale so that they can finally settle down and establish their roots as they enjoy the best years of their life. But before cashing their checks, putting all their eggs in one basket and making a long-term investment that they would have to live with for as long as they are alive and kicking, homeowners have a to think long and hard before making any rash decisions.

First of all, they need to look for the best deals where they can get the most bang for their buck because they do not want to be duped by some fast-talking real estate agent who are only aiming to make a quick buck because they do not have the best interest of their clients in mind. In this cruel, cold and unforgiving world where the rules of the challenging game is survival of the fittest and the battle cry is every man for himself because people cannot rely on other folks around them if they want to reach the top, everybody needs to pull their own weight, prove their sand, earn their salt and push themselves past their limits. If they do not do all of these things and more, then they will surely fail and live a miserable life and nobody wants to be regarded as underachievers, utter failures and lazy couch potatoes who do nothing to become valuable members of society because they are too pathetic to work hard and bring home the bacon so to speak. And that is why if people want to succeed, they should start getting their act together and this begins in school as they do their best in all of their subjects and that special Mandarin class for kids in Singapore and other developing countries around the globe like Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

But the cold hard truth and inescapable reality of life is that a lot of these young students around the world are wasting their prime years doing inane, ridiculous and deplorable things that do nothing to help them achieve their long-term goals and biggest dreams in life. Instead of burning the midnight oil, reviewing their lessons, studying for exams and acing their battery of tough tests and excruciating exams in all of their subjects like math, physics and chemistry, they hang around with their friends in shopping malls and goof around all day. Instead of focusing on their Mandarin classes in Singapore to help them master another language and earn a new soul as wise men love to say, they just play video games, watch movies and waste all their time and energy with stupid activities.

And the worst part is that a lot of them join gangs and run around the streets wreaking havoc in their community and getting into so much trouble by committing criminal activities, misdemeanors and felonies because they think that this is only way for them to be cool and accepted by their peers. And that is why they play hooky, skip school and ditch their Mandarin playgroup which may seem harmless at first but will snowball into something more serious later on because they are taking their education for granted instead of working their way to the top of the class. But before giving up on these misguided and misled young people and branding them as hopeless cases that will never amount to anything good in this world, parents, teachers and other guardians should do everything in their power to save their future and help them avoid spiraling downwards to their own doom and untimely demise.

First and foremost, parents should sit down, talk with their children and get them to share their dreams, innermost thoughts, opinions and fears because this will assure them that they have the unconditional love and undying support of their family no matter what. Teachers should also take the time to help these young kids cope with the hardships and challenges that they face in school because it is their duty and responsibility to mold their minds and guide them as they sharpen their skills as well as harness knowledge and wisdom. Last but not the least, children should also help themselves by avoiding bad friends who can lead them astray and cause them to lose focus on the things that really matter in their life.

In hindsight, and understandably enough, the safety of the home relies heavily on the foundations and pillars which are responsible for the over-all structural integrity of any home. But next to these, the roof is perhaps a critical part of the house in terms of safety and protection but is nonetheless often over-looked.

The roof of course protects home occupants against rain and sun and other falling debris. The strength of a roof is contingent on variety of things primarily the type of material. Asphalt shingles is the cheapest type of roofing material and relatively the one easiest to install. However, they fade easily, are not very durable and is regarded as a poor insulating device. Roof contractors in Singapore often reinforce asphalt shingles with fiberglass or organic materials such as cellulose to improve durability of the roof. Clay and concrete tiles on the other hand are extremely durable but they are heavy and are difficult to install. To optimize the protection provided by roofs, they must also be properly insulated to control heat absorption and release. Testosterone-riddled men who are drowning and blinded by their own misplaced pride and egos stemming from the patriarchal society they grow up in think that they are the bee’s knees and that they are the best thing in the world since bread came sliced. They strut around with puffed up chests and heads held high with brash bravado and senseless swagger like they own the whole place and this kind of pompous behavior has to stop because they need to focus on things that really matter in this world like world peace and global poverty instead of their bloated heads. This chauvinistic pea-cocking might seem harmless at times but when they group together like a lynch mob out for blood, it can escalate and get out of hand in the blink of an eye.

On the flip-side of the coin and the other side of the fence, women are often undermined, underappreciated and undervalued as the underdogs of society constantly fighting for equal rights and fair treatment from their male counterparts who often look at them patronizingly. Although there are many professional women out there who are dressed from head to toe in office wear bought from the finest boutiques in Singapore and other highly-developed countries like Japan, Hong Kong and the United States of America, they are still treated like second-rate citizens who are a couple of notches below their male colleagues.

Sadly, even if they buy office dresses online that are not revealing, seductive or inappropriate in any way, they still get catcalled as they suffer verbal abuse and sexual harassment from pig-headed, lascivious and uncouth ruffians out there who lack breeding and common decency. Without their kind hearts, caring hands, selfless devotion and tender love and care, humanity will wallow in their own filth, desolation and misery because life is not worth living without women in this world.

At an early age when they were just wee infants barely able to crawl on the floor, humans rely on their mothers for sustenance as they suckle the nectar of life from their tender bosoms. And children also run to their mother to kiss away their pain, wipe away their tears and take care of their small cuts, scrapes and bruises whenever they fall down from playing outside with their wild friends and rowdy classmates. And when heterosexual men finally meet the love of their life and significant other who will turn their whole world upside down and inside out, their wives will help them reach the pinnacle of success as they reach their loftiest goals and biggest dreams in life.

As the saying goes, behind every successful man is a woman wearing Singapore office wear and ready to ride or die with him all the way to the top of the food chain.
